Sold the Budelli Island

Budelli Island has a new owner, the pearl of the archipelago of La Maddalena famous for its beach Rosa was sold at auction for € 3 million.
After failure of the real estate company of Milano, based in Lugano, who wanted a real estate development on the island has been put up for auction by the Court of Tempio.
The island has a total development of 1.6 million square meters and is surrounded by over 12 km of unspoiled coast and being bound by the Sardinia Region, State and Park Authority is therefore impossible to build any type of villa or holiday home, furthermore to preserve it at the best in its beauty is no longer possible to access by over 20 years.
The new owner is a wealthy banker New Zealander, convinced ambientalist, so also for him the island is inaccessible except a special permit to be requested from time to time.
After decades of continuous visits in the wonderful Sardinian archipelago has finally fulfilled his dream of owning the most enchanting island in the world with the specific aim of preserve it by speculation, has already brought forward (by promoting and financing) initiatives for the protection and conservation of the natural environment and soon will present to the Presidency of the Park a conservation plan for the island.
Hopefull it will be kept at the best as it deserves such a treasure of the nature and wishes to the new owner!
